Mother tongue is crucial in framing the thoughts and emotions of people. Language plays an essential part in the life of a human being. The language facilitates a comprehension of the surroundings, learning of concepts, and training in various skills. It connects human beings with their culture, ensures better cognitive development, and aids in the learning of other languages. Malayalam the mother tongue of Keralites is accorded the status of a Classical Language of India in 2013. The study of Malayalam language not only enriches the student’s knowledge of their mother tongue but also opens up new horizons of perspectives.
