Registered under the Directorate of Industries and Commerce (DIC), Ernakulam, with the registration number EDC/EKM/10/16, this club plays a pivotal role in nurturing the entrepreneurial spirit of the college's student community. Through a range of activities, workshops, and seminars, the ED Club empowers students with the knowledge and skills necessary to create, manage, and sustain successful business ventures. It serves as a hub for aspiring entrepreneurs to network, collaborate, and turn their innovative ideas into real-world enterprises, contributing to the growth of the local and regional economy. Nature Club

 

 

NURTURE NATURE FOR FUTURE is the motto of Mar Athanasius College (Autonomous), Kothamangalam. Being located in a rural region surrounded by biodiversity hotspots, the college firmly believes in the social, individual, and institutional responsibilities towards preserving, protecting, and sharing natural resources in a collective manner. Various endeavors of the college have contributed significantly towards awareness raising and community partnership in enhancing environment-friendly and sustainable resource use and management. Mar Athanasius College is committed to the development and implementation of a Green and Sustainable energy system in the campus, with the aim of creating awareness and motivation in the society to achieve a cleaner environment. The institution aims to realistically and comprehensively reduce energy consumption, assure acceptable indoor air quality and improve energy efficiency on campus through methods that are consistent with a safe, secure, and eco-conscious campus community. Film Club

 

Film club plays an active role to build editing, directing, writing and film- related skills among students. The club also conducts film related activities like short film competitions and film review competitions. Film club organizes regular screening of artistic cinema, documentaries and short films. This forum also provides the students an opportunity to watch, discuss and review films.

Quiz Club

 

Quizzes improve or expand one's knowledge of things either in general or in specific fields. The Quiz club of the college aims at identifying students with quizzing talents and creating opportunities for them to sharpen their quizzing skills. It encourages and conducts periodical quizzes on different topics to assess the growth in the knowledge of the students either on general level or in specific areas of interest.

Electoral Literacy Club

 

An Electoral Literacy Club is a platform to engage college students through interesting activities and hands-on experience to sensitise them on their electoral rights and familiarise them with the electoral process of registration and voting. ELCs are also present in colleges and rural communities. At ELCs, learning meets fun. Activities and Games are designed to stimulate and motivate students provoking them to think and ask questions. Through ELC, Election Commission of India, aims at strengthening the culture of electoral participation among young and future voters.

Speaker's forum and debating club of Mar Athanasius College gives hands-on experience and training to students on public speaking and stage programmes.
