Dr. Jitto Jose

Assistant Professor
M. Sc. Statistics, M. Phil. Statistics, Ph. D. Statistics.

Profile

Being an academician, working to better understand how Statistics can be applied to real-life situations, with present designation as Assistant Professor in the Department of Statistics, is now engaged in the teaching, research and analysis fields. Skilled in different Mathematical and Statistical software like SPSS, Mathematica, STATA, XLSTAT, MATLAB etc. The fields of interest include Biostatistics, Econometrics, Business Analysis, Predictive Modelling, Bayesian Modelling, Information Theory, Data Science, Stochastic Modelling, Data Analytics and Multivariate Statistical Tools. Received Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Statistics with a prime focus on the topic entitled ‘Some Modelling Problems in Statistics’ from University of Kerala, Trivandrum. The Ph.D. Thesis work collaborates four major areas which delivers the concept of ordered random variables (order statistics, record values, k-records), concomitants of ordered random variables, information measures and integral transformations to generate models for real life situations. The expertise includes data analysis, interpretation, development and implementation of research tools.Several research papers have been published in reputed National and International peer reviewed Scopus Indexed journals. The works has been rigorously peer-reviewed and has earned the recognition of being published in some of the most respected and widely-cited scientific journals, which serve as benchmarks for high-quality research across the globe. In addition to contributions as a researcher, I am also a reviewer for numerous international journals.
