Dr. Sherin Philip joined the Department of Chemistry as Assistant Professor in June 2023. Before Joining Mar Athanasius College, she owns an experience of seven years of teaching in various higher education institutions where she handled both Under Graduate and Post Graduate curriculum. Dr.Philip holds an M.Phil degree in Nanoscience and Nanotechnology from Mahatma Gandhi University Kottayam. After qualifying CSIR-UGC JRF, she joined the research group of Prof. Sunny Kuriakose at St. Thomas College, Palai for her doctoral studies. She was awarded her Ph.D Degree by Mahatma Gandhi University Kottayam in 2021. She has to her credit a number of international publications of high repute. Dr. Philip joined hands with AICTE and Digital University of Kerala (DUK) in their mission to translate first year engineering text books to regional languages as part of National Education Policy. She has translated the text "Applied Chemistry" to Malayalam under this scheme. Besides, Dr. Philip has authored many popular science articles, mainly intended for young generation science aspirants. She has been entrusted with various duties and responsibilities of the department and college which she tries to accomplish with utmost care and honest.
