Mar Athanasius College, Kothamangalam, honored with the Award for the Best College in Sports for the year 2024–25, instituted by the Kerala State Sports Council. The award was presented by Sri. V Abdurahiman, Honorable Minister of Sports, Govt.of Kerala to Dr. Winny Varghese, Secretary, Mar Athanasius College Association and Dr. Aby P. Varghese, Vice Principal, in presence of Prof. P I Babu and Smt. Archana Shaji, Dept. of Physical Education, recognizing the college’s outstanding achievements and consistent excellence in sports during the academic year.This recognition highlights the enduring legacy and commitment of the college towards developing student-athletes and promoting excellence in competitive sports.Our Olympians, Sri. Muhammad Ajmal and Sri. Abdullah Aboobacker received the G V Raja Awards for the best Sportsmen along with Sri. Anoob Sreedharan for the best Sports Feature.
